Let The Lord "Get The LEV Out"
The Passover Celebration Continues With
The Feast of Unleavened Bread
In the Bible, leaven is symbolic for sin.
Leaven in the natural "puffs up" bread.
In the spirit, anything that "puffs us up" is pride.
That is why unleavened bread is a picture of Jesus' body...
sinless and not puffed up with self.
So, during this week of Unleavened Bread,
Let us press into the Lord and ask Him to reveal any sin or
leaven in our lives. He wants us to start the year as a whole new lump!
"Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?
Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are
in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."
1 Corinthians 5:6-8
Eating unleavened bread or matzah this week is a great
reminder in the physical of what the Lord wants to do in the Spirit.
So enjoy some matzah and...let The Lord "Get the LEV out!"
